From the Board Chair
Psalm 121:8 “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
We are excited to welcome Rev. Balikenga Bisoke Bernard to the US for just over five weeks from September 11 to October 21, 2025. His Visa interview on August 25 went well so that hurdle has passed and we pray that all travel plans will go smoothly with God’s blessing. Bisoke will have a busy schedule while in the US while he attends the New Wineskins Global Missions Conference and then visits five states. His supporting churches are eager to spend time with him to hear stories of war and heartbreak as well as triumphs and hope. We are also well aware of the stress of his work and his need for rest and renewal, so we will make space for times of refreshment and restoration. As Bisoke brings his world into focus for us, we learn more effectively how to intervene with prayer and financial support.
Bisoke had hoped to bring Archbishop Titre Ande Georges and Bishop Cyrille Kambala with him. However, the Visa process is complicated and there was not enough time for their Visas to be obtained. We hope that they can come to the US in the future.
Most of the Hearts for the Congo board members will be together at the New Wineskins Conference, some meeting in person for the first time. We welcome this time of fellowship as we learn more about God’s hand working all over the world. It will be a time of encouragement, awe and wonder for us all.
